The Repairman

A blank page is where I stare Emotions run with fear and a word I can't dare The glass will shatter in a whisper of mine And will be left with pieces and forever to remind 40 meters; on the top of the tower A shooting star thousand miles away I can see There aren't words that mean close to my wish Close my eyes and a baby's breath I can breathe Remind me about what I said yesterday And let me walk on flames I'm sorry but I can't die today Everything's different; yet nothing's really changed

What I've Lost I Count As Gain

One day we'll be counting if we've paid our son's school's fee and how many friends we have caught up that year And not averaging cgpa and internals in tears For me, mark sheets are only de-invitations for the places where 4.0 achievers go To be honest, they only have narrow choices of ways to follow But I feel like my world is much more beautiful than that. Because we are strong from within not from grades So load your chest with nicotine instead of stress! 20 years from now I won't remember how much I scored in what semester But where I went, what I did and with whom I shared a laughter who carried me from a boozebar to the bed  and who helped me cross a fence who gave me a stick to light and who took a step forward when I had a fight And for now lets be done with the 150 rupee book And get over with the papers we took Not to prove that we're also capable But because they're missing the fact that we're invincible.
